Featured Replies

Look up Daiwa Project T.  Heard about it on TT and watched the video.  Captured some pics from it:

Think there's at least a couple baitcasters and one spinner.

Getting impatient for ICAST 2103…   :)

I'm thinking Daiwa fans will be happy with one the reels coming out :)

So this might be the T3 MX series coming over to USDM. Black reels are always welcome ;)

The hood looks wrong for it to be a T3.

The nose on the T3 is much more streamlined.  Based on the pics, though admittedly they're not very clear, I'd say this reel hasn't got a T-wing.

On the 4th picture, it looks like the words 'TWS' on the body of the reel which was what made me speculate that.

Anyways, it sounds like a great iCast to come. Hopefully it won't make me feel like burning another hole in my wallet

Looks decent, I'm intrigued. Anybody want to predict the price point? I'm gonna go with $199. Doesn't seem like they'd involve so many pros if it was less expensive than the Lexa. And I'm assuming this reel is gonna be new to both Japanese and North American markets?

Plus it'll be priced nicely, going by specs I'm thinking the reel will get some attention. Though the colors may be a bit different then the one you see there :) and also its labeled as having "New T-Wing System"

As for the price Medium Heavy is in the ballpark.

I've heard rumors it might be the zillion replacement and be around $249ish.  All conjecture though.

Personally I'm hoping it comes in more around 199.  Always thought the zillions were over priced.  So are the steez IMo.  (I own 2 zillions and a steez)

Looks great, I'd really like to try one, but if it's more than $175 it will be out of my price range.

Does anybody know how much it will weigh?

TWS= top water special

TWS= top water special

TWS means T-Wing System, but you could certainly throw top water baits with it

Im going to guess 8.5oz Alu frame sideplate, big gear, big knobs, long handle going to have some weight to it.

Tatula and Tatula R.  $149 and $199 retail if what I heard is accurate. The R should be sub 7 ounce ?   Should be interesting. Lots of YouTube on these reels including designer's comments.

Over on TT i think they mentioned 149 and 199.

Does anyone know the specific differences between the two?

I think the R will have the faster retrieve and some cosmetic details but does anyone know anythign else?  Drag star material etc?

Dragstar material is Ziaon. Soon we'll know everything. The enthusiast in me even finds this reel very interesting, the T3 is amazing so I honestly have high hopes for this reel to perform very well.

If the price is $199 for the R, it will be on my radar screen.
