Lifetime License For Wife

My wife, who does not fish, got a little upset when I purchased lifetime Virginia Legacy fishing licenses for my grandchildren.

So I got her a lifetime Virginia fishing license.

All she does is lay down and read when I take her fishing but she wanted the license so I got it for her.

Maybe she will enjoy fishing for bream and bluegills this summer.

Seein' that she was there anyway, I got the wife interested by settin' a hook and then "accidentally" handing her the rod. Eventually she started holdin' her own rod.

In NC if she is in the boat and you are fishing, you better have a license for her.

Does she get more enthused when one or more of the grandchildren are along?

Rhino, no grandchildren on the boat until they can swim.

This is Rule #1.

So no, we have not had the grandkids out with us so far.

From past experience...make sure there are two of you with them even if they can swim...and be prepared for a short day.

Grampa, I guess after tubing they will be ready to go home.

Seems granddaughter will be a tom boy.

Grandson is so easy going he will be a pleasure to have on the boat.

You might want to see who wants to hunt worms and go to the side of the pond. Just a thought.

There's a good joke about that,  probably to be found on BR somewhere.

A husband and wife are on the boat,  the husband fishing and the wife reading.  Game warden comes to the boat and is going to write a ticket to the woman for fishing without a license.  She says that she is not fishing.  He tells her that she has all the equipment to fish,  therefore she is getting a ticket.  She tells him that when she gets to shore,  she is going to file a complaint of sexual assault against him.  He exclaims that he is no way sexually harassed much less assaulted her.  She says that he has all the necessary equipment therefore,  she is reporting him.  He tells her to have a nice day and moves on.

Yea! Not really.

Around 40 years ago my Dad gave my Mom a boat battery for her birthday.

Around 35 years ago my parents were divorced.

Around her birthday, every year, my mom still brings that story up.

Moral of the story, buy it for yourself and she complains for a week, buy it for "HER" and you hear about it for a lifetime.
