Sweeeet.

Just saw on there that the new stradic ci4 fa has x-ship!! Awesome can't believe bass pro would put these on their website before icast!

It is always good to see JDM features coming over to Shimano USA.

I was thinking about that too. I wonder how fast they are going to get them in the stores after Icast???

Maybe they will be in stores sooner than people think.. Zona said "after icast make sure you check these out" in that video about the ci4+. Hopefully they will be in stores in late july

Wow, Shimano is actually releasing the same models for both righties and lefties.  I figured this would be another instance for them to short-change lefty crankers, so color me surprised.  Still not gonna get one though :)

To be quite honest, I bet BPS as well as other stores might have them now. They are just waiting on the date they can officially put them out for sale.

Man I'm going to have to get one!  Smoooooooooooooooooooth!  Can't wait!  Hopefully I will have the cash to buy 2.

After buying a steez I have a hard time spending more than 200 dollars on a reel.  I just dont think the value per dollar is there.

I may get one if I can snag one at a decent price, otherwise, 200 dollars and below lifer! :-)

After fishing so many different shimano reels over the years and getting the new Sustain with xship. And feeling the incredible smoothness. Words can't describe how excited I am for these reels. Plan on 2 of the Chronarchs and 1 Stradic come Christmas.

They took down the product data?

Doesn't seem to be on there anymore.

They took the page down.. Shimano probably didn't want it up till the day they can sell it. People were probably ordering the ci4s off basspro before they even came out and there was probably a lot in backorder.

One gear is machined aluminum I believe and the other is brass so it meshes better.

For the naysayers the Chronarch CI4+ has brass gearing. Our spinning reels use different materials depending on the application. Most are cold forged aluminum main gears with a hardened brass or stainless pinion gear. We do not use full brass alloy gearing in any of our spinning reels.

So the chronarch is all brass and the Stradiv ci4 is different. Hope the brass can hold up.

Does anyone know how these brakes work? How does the external dial modify the braking settings of the 4 pins? Have any of you used the new metanium (I think that's the one with svs infin., may be wrong) with the svs infinity? Is it better than the vbs in terms of distance casting and casting in wind? Also, how does it do in pitching/flipping?
