Well just wanted to post this as more of a thank you to BR and all it's participating members. After studying the valuable information found MOSTLY HERE and putting some time on the water i've finally starting to understand the fine art of swimbaits! It's taken a bit, but i can confidently go out to any given BOW and use a 6in bait or bigger. Here's what time and effort can do! THANK YOU BASS RESOURCE!!!

Thanks everyone. Was indeed caught on a spro bbz jr. I didn't weight her seeings how she wasn't a true Goliath, but probably all of 5lbs 

Once you get that first quality swimbait bass, everything falls into place on how a bass will hit big baits. You'll remember this bass forever. Now the addiction begins haha.

Congrats.  Sticking a fiver will get you to throw those baits more often, for sure.

As always thanks everyone. The sensation of throwing a bait like that and not to mention getting a big one to bite in a spot people already pounded was a gamechanger for me! After catching that bass i know swimbaits truly do require patience, patience, patience in order to get quality bites. It's dang worth it though!

 

 

As for the Spro...

 

 

For $20 there good in my book! I've seen some intense baits in person and they look, feel, fish awesome, but IMO the BBZ is a wonderful answer to the poor angler in need of a SB that will catch big fish. The only con is the hooks may need to be changed. They get a good amount of bites! This happens just to be the best largie yet. Im definitely gonna keep thowing them!!

Your a spot on about the hooks being changed. Get some Owner ST-36 Size 1 and you are set.

Hey TC, what are the specs of the rod your throwin that SB on?

Awesome fish man! Congrats on the swimbait paying off for you. I love big bait fishing myself. I think it's a mindset and a style more than anything. It's a style of fishing that may not reward you with great numbers but it wasn't designed to do so....it was designed mainly for what you're holding in your hand in that pic...and more like it! Keep throwing those swimbaits!

 

If you haven't seen Southern Trout Eaters yet please do yourself a favor and pick up that dvd....you'll love it and it will give you some pointers as well. It's very inspiring!

Hey TC, what are the specs of the rod your throwin that SB on?

The great thing about the bbz 6in jr is it's capable of being thrown even on MH. Even if it's not leaning towards a more H action.

 

 

Im throwing mine on a cheap 7'6 MH Powell Diesel and works great.
