i'm new to bass fishing .. so take this for what its worth.. i tried as a recommendation from the owner at the tackle shop, its what she fishes.. it was ok.. but i keep trying & i have yet to find anything! my buddy that is teaching me says basic triline.. i have had nothinig but problems out of the last 3 spools.. i finally got a good spool and have had little problems. sometimes i thnk its just todays makert & poor qualitiy control. i have not figured it out.... 832 seemed stiff to me, but it was strong stuff!

I have only tried the 832 once and it was a little stiffer than what i usually use (reg power pro) but it got more pliable with use.I have nothing negative to say about the line.

On the Veritas rod I had it spooled to I thought it was noisier.

I've never used the super slick. I'm comparing the 832 against regular PP.

To me, and my ears, the PP is quieter. Why is this such an issue for you? It's my unbiased opinion whether you agree or not.

how so ?first of all it's a 4 strand braid.4 strand braids are not as smooth as 6 or 8 strand braids.the smoother a braid is the less noise it makes.this is a fact.

Only to some, to others it is a good thing. Just a personal choice, handling, strength, abrasion resistance, are the reasons I choose 832, noise is no more than others as far as I am concerned, but if it was all the other benefits you get are what make it my #1 choice!

I haven't noticed much if any noise using an "outdated line" or problems with excessive abrasion.  As long as the line holds a good knot and holds a good fish, that's all I need it to do.

more noise - more friction. I hate it and i'm a braid lover.

I have used several different brands of Braid and settled on the 832 and have been pleased with it.  I use it from the 30# up to 80# strength as I fish mostly swimbaits.  Using the 30 and 40# 832 I can use smaller low profile reels such as the Zllion for throwing the small to medium hard swimbaits and the larger Hudds.

I use the moss green without a leader.

First off your response isn't about what my post was concerning. I clearly highlighted in red the portion of your post I disagreed with so I'm not sure how you missed the point.

Either I'm deaf, or I just don't give a hoot so it don't bother me. But I don't find regular Power Pro to be noisy, rough, or anything else people complain about. I have used all types of braid. 832.....bleeds it's color faster than Power Pro, and costs a little more, didn't impress me enough to justiy switching. Spiderwire stealth ....this one makes serious noise, and the only braid I ever used that tore up rod guides. Spiderwire Ultra cast.....while braid in general is not very abrasion resistant, this line was the worst in that area. I swear silk string was tougher.  Fireline braid, and Seaguar Kanzen were both duds, not impressed at all with either, I found both to be way less stronger than other brands of like lb test. Kanzen has been the only Seaguar product I have ever been disappointed in. I was all set to try some Power Pro Super Slick, until the best frog fisherman I know came in with a zero one day during a tournament, claiming they lost a good bag because of multiple...........MULTIPLE break offs in the slop with 65lb Super Slick, they were not happy, and I have been reluctant to try it since then. Regular Power Pro, has been, and will be, the best bang for the buck in braid, and will be the braid I use for the foreseeable future.

oops , my mistake . I still believe most of the noise if from the line rubbing on the line guide. if you listen carefully you can hear it. if you use reels with different material line guides with the same braid you can hear they have different noise levels.also on a wide spool reel you can hear more noise when the guide is all the way to one side compared to when it is centered.

I disagree. I have a Loomis with recoil guides and fishing braid on that rod makes much more sound than the same reel and line on a different rod. I'm not saying the line guide doesn't make some noise, I just believe that 90% of the sound is the braid running through the rod. The fact that I can move any reel I own to the Loomis with recoil's and it becomes instantly louder than any of my other rods proves my point in my mind.

Same experience here with Seaguar kanzen 15# I used, very weak braid line broke under 10#. Weak also describes their customer service.

whatever . I've heard that before and all I know is mine is not noisey.then again it has a recoil tip and most rods with recoils have an sic tip .

I don't notice or care about the noise.

And when braid, 832 is my favorite. Also I've noticed that the color retention seems a lot better now.

Maybe in my head, but it seems the green doesn't fade as quick anymore.
