Seeing Red

Featured Replies

I'm just wondering when and if you guys ever throw red baits, I mean totally red.  I see some spinner baits that are totally red including the Blade. There are always totally red lipless cranks.  Just wondering if any of you throw red and what conditions would you consider good for throwing a totally Red lure.

My buddy swears by a 100% red switchblade jig. Don't know why but it definitely catches fish. Other than that, I never see red lures..

Red craw cranks and traps are where it's at early in the spring :)  I've done well with red squarebills in muddy water too for some reason.

As said in post 4. I ran the heck out of them also this spring and a heavy rain. :angel500:

Thanks guys, I have a few people that swear by solid red lipless crank baits. For me I bought a few but never catch anything on them. I guess timing is everything.

The SK RES in tomato color works really well in stained water. Smallies love them.

My PB of 12.8# was caught on a Red Chrome Trap!

Ya ever heard of Rayburn Red?

Spinnerbaits with red blades have proven themselves in muddy/red colored water for me.
