i ordered swim jigs from Siebert and NorthStar, Siebert was 3/8 oz and NorthStar was 1/2 oz.The heads are exactly the same size,i have some Siebert in 1/2 oz and you can see the different in the head size..Does NorthStar have a smaller head or are they the wrong size?I ordered 14 of them and waited 3 weeks for them i hate to send them back,but that gives me a lot of 3/8 oz and a few 1/2 oz. I'd probably contact them directly to sort it out instead of posting in the open forum. If it was a mistake, either company has a great track record with customer service.

Look very closely at them. There really isn't much difference in 3/8-1/2 oz. If not like Speed said, pick up a phone and call them.

It is quite possible I made a mistake. Lots of orders going out every day. Give me a call or email tomorrow and we can sort it out

I'm not sure on the style collar Northstar uses but I changed my 1/4-1/2 heads to a barbed collar instead of a double round collar on the shank of the hook.  This could possibly hold some of the 1/8 oz difference in size if Northstar uses the poison tail mold. 

 

I just checked both the poison tail head and my current head.  They weigh almost exactly the same but my 3/8 head is just a shade bigger due to the smaller lead on the shank.

if its Poison tail the easy way to tell mine is the 3/8 has the 4/0 and the 1/2 has the 5/0 it is a noticeably bigger hook. Looks wise they are almost the same.

Thanks everybody i wasn't sure how i could weigh them but i think i maybe able to at work if our scales go that low.
