Some of y'all met my son Chad at the Bassmaster Classic dinners or at the road trip this year.  Anyway, just got the news that he's been appointed to be the Texas BASS Nation youth director!  I'm a proud dad!

Awesome congrats! That's a heckuva appointment! Give him our best wishes and good luck in his new position!

Is that great or what! We are all proud of him.

Do you realize how many guys out there would love that job?

You did a super job raising him.

How about some background information that you can share with us so the young guys who want to get into the bass fishing industry will have your son's story.

Please tell him on behalf of everyone on the Forum that we are very happy for him and his new career.

Thanks for all the well wishes everybody! I'm pretty proud of the kid and hopeful for his future!
Sam, his background is that he started fishing the BASS juniors at about 11 and was on the state champion team twice. There he met the state youth director who was also a TX BASS regional director. His skill and knowledge grew fishing everything from yellowfin tuna to bass to brook trout. After high school he went to work for Cabelas, a BASS Nation sponsor, and began college hoping to land a career in the fishing industry. He joined a local club and there reconnected with the state youth director who recommended him for the position as he was leaving it. On the youth side this is a volunteer position with some benefits but no pay. He hopes this will, perhaps, develop into something full time.

Ya gotta love it when a plan works out !! Congradts.

I haven't met you guys, but congratulations anyway. That's awesome!
