It is a 2009.  The RPS was introduced in 2010.

  • Glad to hear BPS and Nitro are standing behind their product.   Very interested in what happened during the manufacturing process to cause the problem.   Will never get a Nitro as the Richmond, VA

  • At least it's happening at the end of the season instead of the beginning.

I received a call this morning 10-21-2013 from my Nitro dealer due to some of the options on my Z7 Tracker Marine is going to build a new boat "BUT" I still have to use my current outboard, jackplate, trailer and all the items I supplied. I'll be getting two new consoles, new bow Lowrance HDS-5 with Insight, new console HDS-7 with Insight, new hot foot, new dual livewell oxygenizers, new auto bilge pump, new tilt hydraulic steering, new seats, new keel guard and a new steering wheel trim lever. I supplied the 36v trolling motor, trolling motor quick release bracket, Ram trolling motor stabilizer, four AGM batteries, four bank 60amp charger.

Are they going to do all the work to move the equiptment over?

Yes, the Nitro dealer will do the transfer at no cost to me as they were the ones who did the work before I took delivery back in February of 2011 they were items not offered by Nitro so I was given a credit for the stock 24v trolling motor, stock onboard charger and 3 stock batteries.

Tracker Marine is going out of it's way to replace a boat that has developed a hooked hull while in use and give me the kind of boat I purchased.

That's awesome, glad they are backing their product so well. Sucks you're missing time on the water though.

I don't do a lot of fishing this time of year as my work is getting to peak time with O.T. hours.

I didn't purchase the Z7 at BPS I purchased mine at a stand alone dealership which is why I may be getting the results that I am.

No, I would think the Nitro people would stand behind their product no matter how you obtained your boat, other than stealing it.

What happened to you could happen to many people and there could be a large product recall which would cost BPS millions of dollars.

Have you sent a letter to BPS asking them, in a nice and non-adversarial manner if they have encountered this problem with other boats and if they could send a specialist to view your craft to determine what happened.

If that does not work or if the inspector gives you some BS, sue the SOBs.

Couldn't have happened at a better time, our area is displacing the fish as the colder temps come to stay.

Sue them?  On what grounds?

They are replacing the hull at no cost.  And, transferring the motor, all the electronics gear and whatever else is needed to the new boat.  Seems to me they are doing everything that could be reasonably expected to rectify the situation.

Sue them for what?  They are replacing a product that was deemed faulty and not charging anything to do it either.

Seems like it is pretty good service to me and while ti sucks something happened they are doing everything they can to make it right.

Everyone just wants to sue or complain without giving people an opportunity to fix their mistake...

Yes, It doesn't make sense to file a lawsuit when Tracker Marine is replacing the boat. The title for my current Z7 was signed and received by Tracker Marine on Tuesday October 29, 2013 I'm just waiting for the production date for my replacement Z7.

I just thought I'd give an update on my replacement Z7. I called my contact at Tracker Marine and I was told scheduled completion date on the Z7 is December 11, 2013 and then it's a matter of shipping to my dealer. Tracker Marine does shutdown over the Christmas holidays and since I won't be fishing up here in PA it really doesn't matter when it gets delivered as long as it's before spring.

Doesn't appear to be much to complain about here.  Glad to hear they're standing behind their product.

New boat. Good deal...........glad to hear they are doing right!

It will be a kind of like Christmas present.

I don't mean to bump this up but I did say I would give a final report on the outcome. I took the new 2014 Nitro Z7 to the storage facility on 02-10-2014 it was a shiney clean boat when I left the dealer but buy the time I got it to the storage facility it was a dirty mess with the wet salty roads here in PA. As I stated earlier in this post the only items moved from my old 2011 Z7 are the 36v trolling motor, 4 AGM battieries, 4 bank 60amp charger, Loc-R-Bar, Outboard, 2 cycle oil tank and manual jackplate I did have to keep the orginal trailer and boat cover though.  When I was told I was getting new Lowrance electronics I thought I was gettting the what was on the old 2011 Z7 which included Gen 1: bow HDS 5 Insight, dash HDS 7 Insight and Struturescan to my surprise I was givin the upgraded Gen 2 across the board. I have to say the way Tracker Marine took care of replacing a boat with hooked hull was outstanding. My dealer told me that 2 more Z7's around my serial number also being replaced. Now once all the freak weather in the northeast is finished and the ice disappears from the lakes I will give a shake down run. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

That's fine,  but what do you mean by measure up?

It's distance is a lot closer than the lawrence river. I wouldn't drive all the way up there to try out a boat though. Warmer days are coming.
