Another Non Deer Bow Kill

Featured Replies

Man these guys are noisy and annoying just before climbing out of my stand today I decided to take a poke at 41yds. Now to kill a coyote or fox with the bow and get this guy mounted with the fox/coyote. A deer would be nice at some point also.

Nice shot!  I've got a black squirrel mounted in my living room.  Do y'all have many of them up there?

That's cool! They're rare around here.

We have certain areas were these squirrels are black. Near me I seen Gray squirrels and brown and beige squirrels.

Actually illegal to shoot in some areas in KS. They even have the right of way in traffic  :laugh5: Don't ask how I know this  :dazed-7:

I hadn't seen one in probably 10 years this hunting season I've seen probably 30 diffrent ones. This one stand I've been sitting has all black squirrels it seems they are everywhere.

PSU-Altoona campus has a bunch.

Wife was shooting wedding pics there this weekend and they were running around. Very cool indeed.

A squirrel at 41 yards??  Come on Clayton lets get real here, you scoped him with the new Ruger 10/22 Takedown. lol But no seriously amazing shot. Congrats Clayton.  A deer just doesn't stand a chance.  What's you longest shot on the compound?

I'm hoping to get a compound next year.

I practice to 70yds for pure fun but I limit my shots on deer to 40 and under if I can. Every deer I've had the opportunity to shoot this season has been from 5-20 yards just about all have walked directly under me but all are little button bucks or fawns.
