How To Tighten/loosen Wobble Of Crankbaits?

Featured Replies

I've been fishing 11-14ft the past weeks and been getting lots of bites - many of them short bites. Tried changing colors to more natural, less natural, etc... still getting bites but still a lot of short bites. I've really been focusing a lot on hard bait presentations the past year, so I figure it's only logical to learn about tuning crank baits for more/less wobble.

How do I tighten the wobble of a crank?

How do I loosen the wobble of a crank?

I usually use a snap swivel on my cranks too (just some added info)

Thanks!

Take the splitring off of the nose of ur crankbait. That will tighten the wobble a lil bit.

Use a flat sided or a more narrow bodied crankbait for a tighter wobble.

not as much as you would like it to in this situation. you are better off, especially during colder water temps, to use flat sided crank baits as they produce much less wobble than your non flat sided.

But if u don't have a flatsided one tie directly to the crankbait, to answer ur question
