Rod And Reel Trade In At Bps?

Featured Replies

Anyone remember when BPS has this program?  It seems like it is spring, but when in the spring?

If you have a rod or real in good working order, you would probably be better off, selling it in the flea market here. It would give a member a good buy on good working equipment and probably bring you a better price than the trade in, of course this only applies to good working!   :Idontknow:

It's during the Spring Classic sale.  It starts the week after the Bassmaster Classic.

They BPS have cheap $5 reels on hand for the event to purchase then turn around and give back to receive a ticket for discount. This is what I have done when not having a cheap reel to give.

It depends on how much you're going to spend on the rod/reel. It will get much more knocked off the price of a high end rod/reel than you could get back selling an old combo.

Also if I recall, the equipment traded in is evaluated, rejuvenated as needed, and donated to needy children.

Not always about $$$$.

exactly. the turned in equipment goes to a good cause.

That would make a big difference. I don't shop at BPS! I just thought it was a gimmick to pull you in, as they don't give much fot the reels they take in, but for the cause you stated,,,,,,,that makes a difference for sure, HATS OFF!!!

This is true, considering the new rods and reels are usually at MSRP at BPS it isn't worth the 80 mile round trip for me, especially if I can find a better deal on line someplace.  I have plenty of needy people around me, I just give my stuff away.
