Suck on this Gambler!   P.S. On a t-rigged 6" green zoom lizard, 3/16 bullet weight, 3/0 EWG hook, 50# green braid. Dropped across a canal into some cover, let it dropped, and before it hit the bot

  • I'm in and I will start us off. Got this 19.5", girth was about 11" this morning(sorry about the crappy pic, tape got twisted) on a Texas rigged redshad green flake 7" gambler ribbon tail with a 5/0

  • Color Change: My color choice is determined by how bright it is outside along with the clarify of water. Clear skys and clear water I'll go with a natural color like black/brown/white or black/green/y

With the cold front coming in tomorrow today should be a really good day. I hope I can get out after work today. I'm dog tired but I wanna get some fish.

Welcome, look forward to competing with you.

Alright, let's try this again. I'm in, but need some advice on how to keep a bass still while measuring it. Also, these were some more fish I caught in October since I suck at keeping up to date.

4.5 Lake Invahoe

3.1 at "Dog Leg" at Baldwin Park

Yeah, weekdays I'm fishing banks. My scale has a measuring tape but When I tried to keep it still next to the tape and take the pic all hell broke loose and I just tossed it back. Do I need to take a picture of the fish with the ruler?

Yes or I have seen an object such as a rod picture with the fish then a picture of the rod with a tape. They also make those plastic boards for the "citation" fish, see a lot of kayakers use them. But that is kinda big to lug around. I got a soft tape, the kind you see people that sew have. They seem to freak out less than with the metal tape.

Or do what LMG does, bring a lacky along specifically to drive the boat, and take pics. LOL

I usually fish with a buddy so I'll have them help me out. If it's +2lb I'll definitely take the time to measure and submit.

We call those people "Bass Caddys"

I sometimes fish with a buddy and it works, one to hold the fish the other take the photo and no one is harmed.

i want to particpate in the catching stats.. if i could i wont post pics ill right down what i caught them on and other details.. if you guy wil let me..  i can assure it wont be alot this time of year i mainly focus on bigger fish

Grizzn if you don't have a place to show off your catches, you are welcomed to do it here, they will not count toward the ongoing FL competition however, but, we can always admire someone else's catches. You can provide details if you want, but the data may not be relative to our Fl waters, but the info will be interesting to see. Best of luck this month.

I have got to make it back to Underhill this year. One of the best small lakes I have ever fished. I used to get all mine on plastics, worms. The 5 # I got was on a gulp free sample I got from them. My wife also got a 5 and my best fishing buddy got a 5-1/4 also.

With that track record we should expect some nice pics.
