Gander has their house brand GSX reels on sale. They have their Elite which is usually $129 going for $90... My BPS Extreme's line guide isn't working and its about time to upgrade anyway, has anyone used the GSX brand or heard any good or bad?

I believe these are a variation of a Quantum reel produced for GM

Like aavery said they are made by quantum now. I had one about 5 years ago, I think they were made by Penn then but not sure. it was a great reel for 60 dollars.

I know that gander mountain spinning reels are made by pflueger, cant say I am all too familiar with the baitcasters- I am sure that one of the more experienced staff members in the store could give you the inside info though. Some of the other guys are saying they are a quantum variant, so I would go with that. People on this site really know their stuff

If you want to upgrade get a Pro Qualifier at BPS or look at a Citica form Shimano or an ABU Revo S
