  • You are welcome Felix.  I read that was a technique you were going to work on this year.  I thought I could start you off with the gear I use.

Ok, neither myself or the little boy could make it to Christmas.  We opened up our box from Mr. Scrogg and everything is just great!  The man definitly did his research, he included 4 of the greatest baits ever made, the titanium T1 terminator and in the right color and blade configuration too!  Well done!  To top that off I have a couple bags of chigger craws which are by far my favorite trailer and in a couple colors I have never used which is good.  I'm always stuck on watermellon green and this will make me branch out a bit.  Love it.  Finally, a bag of some really cool little "worm nose jigs" with an example worm rigged up and a bag of elastec worms to use on them.  I have never seen a jig like this and I think it will just be killer in the river for smallmouth and spots.  I'm excited.  Now I need some time to get out on the boat.

I hope you liked your box half as much.  I tried to do some research into the area you lived in and some of the waters you have chatted about fishing so I was shooting for a few of my favorite largemouth baits and then feature in on some smallmouth baits that I love that I thought would work in clearer waters and small rivers.  I really hope it all works out for you this year and you catch 'em all.

Thanks Mr. Scrogg, you did great!  Merry Fishmas!

What's the little Senko for? perch ... lOL at least Scrogg could have got you some wacky hooks!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured wacky rigging them. That's what I do!

I'll have to find a pic but t sent the same thing last year! Lol

Received My package this morning from Fishing Cowgirl.........I will open on Christmas morning and post shortly afterwards.

I'm glad it fianlly made it to you. Getting "mispalced" in Mesquite for those 3 days, had me a little worried itwouldn't make it in time. I threw in a few non-bail/lure things in there, that I've tried and got rave reviews from the family about it, plus it is a little regional "flavor' .

YTM Mike! (you the man).

Thanks for the killer jigs. i can't wait to hit the water with them...and with the weather we've been having I won't have to wait till March.

Is it weird that I think 'new jig smell' is sexy?  :love4:

Merry Christmas everyone!

Man O Man! Fishing Cowgirl sent me a bonanza of goods.

I really liked the frog/toad baits. I have not fished the frog baits before......and was wanting to make that one of my special efforts this year. Thanks, you have given me a fantastic start towards that goal.

OH! And the seasons are wonderful.......the BBQ seasoning tastes great! Could not resist taking a sneak taste of the BBQ seasoning......anything BBQ I love.

Thank you Lisa for the wonderful gift. Merry Christmas.

So how does that work? Do you apply the BBQ seasoning to the baits instead of JJ's Magic? ;)

Don't think that would go well with coffee scent

The Everglades original seasoning is a pretty good all around flavor. The youngest son insists on it in his scrambled eggs. I,m happy to give you a start on some fun top water action.

Awesome jig and trailer loot from Ghoti (Gary). I'll be putting these puppies to use in just a couple more weeks. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hope that stuff produces for you. Since the Rage Tail Menace came out, I haven't used any other trailer.

Can somebody please tell this old fart how to post a pic from an iPad?

Click your user name and show the gallery page. Upload the pictures from your iPad in the gallery. When you make a post click the gallery tab and it will show you all the pictures you have uploaded. Then chose which ones and it automatically pits them in your post.

They do look sweet. No offense to Yamamoto, but I am looking forward to giving his twin tails a little break and trying something new. You've got me covered with some awesome colors and I'll definitely put those puppies to good use. Thanks again!!

rockchalk, no offense intended my friend, but your answer reminds of a smart-assed answer I gave to one of my students. He asked how to write a resume. i told him to open Word, type his resume, and click save.

Hey Gary.

I use a photobucket acct to upload my images for storage and then just link to them.

If interested shoot me PM.

It wasn't meant to be a smartassed answer.

Do worry about Gary.  He is fluent in smartass.  It's like a second language to him. :eyebrows:

First, Lee is correct; I am very fluent in smartass. Cant help myself sometimes. Second, rockcalk, I did not intend my comment to youy as a smartass reply. It just came out that way. My apologies if you took it as such. I don't know you well enough to call you a It is difficult to nuance a typed comment.

My problem is this iPad. It will not allow me to post a picture on BassResource; in a post, in a PM, or in a gallery. The only way I've been able to poast a pic is to email to myself, open it and save it on my desktop PC on campus, and then post from there. Since I'm not on campus until Jan 13, and do not go on campus until I have to, posting a pic seems to be outside of my capabilitiy right now, so I'll have just give a list.

Norcalbassin sent me a very nice package. Two swimbaits; a Mattlures bluegil and a Huddleston 5" ROF 12. I don't have a swimbait combo but I do have a muskie combo I use for smaller muskie baits. I think it will do nicely for those two baits, and I'm looking forward to to giving the swimbait thing a shot in the upcoming season. Also a pack of Big Hammer swimbait tails. I have the correct jigheads for those baits. I've used those exact baits before and I know they will produce in this area. He also sent two Dirty Jigs & Tackle swimjigs. Both are what I'd call crappie color and will be perfect for Trophy Country, with a white Rage Tail Menace trailer. Two packs of GYCB Cuttail worms, one of my go-to baits, two packs on tungsten weights, and a *** tee shirt. My wife has already appropriated the shirt. It's been a long time since I was able to cram my carcass into an XL shirt. The wife wears my old tee shirts as pajamas, so I will be waking up to a woman in a TW shirt. Sounds like a good way to start the day to me.

All in all, norcalbassin sent me a package of loot worth a lot more than 25 bucks. And, all good choices for me.

Thanks, Chad.
