I just saw that Tackle warehouse had the T3's and T3 ballistics on sale for 50% off. I'm adding a T3 to my christmas list. What are you all's opinion on these reels?

Ordered two. Been messing around with one I already got. Excellent reel for the price. If it wasn't Christmas season I would get 2 more! Can't wait until this sub zero weather goes away so I can really use it on some Smallies.

why did you sell your tatula and opt for a t3?

The front part of the reel was very wide and the brake dial isn't recessed like the zillion...I didn't even cast it because I didn't like how it palmed. The brake dial rubbed against my finger.

I palm with my pointer finger along the side of the reel so the extra wideness in front and jutting brake dial were just comfortable for me

Received mine in today, gotta say its looking and feeling pretty good, got it all spooled up and ready to go for the weekend. Only complaint so far is, why are the knobs riveted on? They def gotta go...

On the T3 1016 they are not riveted. Did you get the T3 Ballistic or Ballistic XS ?

The T3 ballistic 100HSL, even though I got it for a good price, the retail of it you would assume it would have changeable knobs...Oh well got the confirmation the Hawgtech handle will fit the T3 Ballistic so that'll be next on the list...

I've got a 102 swept on mine and I love it!!!

I don't mind the factory handle, for flippin and pitching with the 8:1 gear ratio you don't spend much time reeling...

if i had the 6:1 gears and used it as a caster it might be better to upgrade the handle...

Just got mine in and love it so far. Only got to throw it a few times to test brake systems out before rain hit.
