Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Just wondering what others are doing, I go with grub tail pointing down, some say point the grub tail up, just wanting to see what yall think.

I only use the swim jig chunk from zoom.  It looks like a swimmer with flippers.

Forget the grubs, and stick a Rage Baby Craw on there! Killer bait.

up or down I don't think it matters as long as it isn't sideways.

Always down. I don't know if the bass care, but I do.

I agree with thr rage tails, but with grubs I've always gone up. Habit, I guess.

Well there 's a good reason why just cuz the dude is a pro don 't mean you got to pay attention to what he/she says and believe it like if it were gospels, so which ways is right ? up or down it don 't matter.

Tail up tends to get snagged more on the hook point than tail down for me. So it's tail down.

The turbulence of the swimming grub tail will cause slight lifting if the tail is pointing down. If you want the jig to ride higher in the water column this helps that affect.

If you want the swim jig to swim a little deeper, point the end of the grub tail up.

Yep. Tail down for me too. But I really don't think that the fish care one way or the other.

If you are fishing it where the bait will contact grass or brush tail up. All other times tail down seems to have a better swimming action especially on the fall.
