I wear prescription glasses so wearing a pair of rgular people sunglasses is out for me.  Can anyone recomend a god pair of over prescription glasses sunglases that are good for fishing?  I do not want to have to spend the big dollars on having prescription sunglasses made.  I hate to have to tote 2 pairs of prescriptions around with me, and I am always nervous that I will lose them.

Yes.  HAd them and hated them.  They do not transition in a car, and going inside you can be near blind until they transition back.

Costa will make you RX in your lenses of choice in the 400g or 580g

 

any sunglass maker that has glass lenses should be able to....... plastic lenses IDK.

I have done the same thing. My go to fishing glasses are now the good ole spiderwire wally world specials for 22 bucks. i have owned a few pairs of costa's, and don't get me wrong they are EXTREMELY nice glasses. but for me the spiderwire glasses are unbeatable for 20 bucks,and i don't cry when i loose them.If they put a different brand on the spiderwire glasses and a 100 dollar price tag they would fool a lot of people lol.

I too, have a pair of Costa's.  They are great, but, when fishing in really dirty or stained water they really don't do much better than anything else, for me.  My go to and driving glasses are Spiderwire.  They are the only glasses in the $20.00 range that don't distort my vision and they are really light and comfortable to wear.

Oakley's for me, Hijinx with blue ice lenses. However I'd love to invest in some Costa's, best glasses money can buy.

Actually just bought my first pair of Costas two days ago. I was wearing some amber vicious sunglasses last year(malice model) which worked pretty good however my eyes never seemed to get fully adjusted to the amber lenses so I'm trying some smoke ones with the Costas. I know a lot of guys prefer amber when it comes to your ability to sight fish but my lakes are always murky so I'm gonna roll the dice and shoot for comfort this time around and see how that works. Good thing is I bought my Costas(Corbina model) from a friend of mine who just got a new pair so I got a really good deal on them. I'm looking forward to getting on the water and doing some fishing with these bad boys and see what all the hype is about.

Just picked a pair of ONOS Grand Lagoon Polarized Sunglasses with readers.

 

I'm liking them, especially since this model fits my peanut size head so I look less like a tsetse fly.

Wiley X P-17 with the Polarized Emerald Mirror lenses 

I like my Oakley polarized combat sun glasses from my tour in Iraq. Seems like silly but they even saved my eye, was fishing a small creek one day and hooked into something way bigger then a bass and the hook snapped about halfway on the shank and I took a 1/4th oz tungsten to the eye. I got lucky but I will never ever fish without my combat glasses again.

I posted earlier about my $12 Berkley obsession, and then my wife got me a pair of JiMarti's for Valentines Day!  They are more of an all sport type, but look promising.  I can't wait to give them a shot... mainly because it means I'll be fishing!

I have a pair of Oakley  and a pair of costa 580 and in all honesty can hardly tell the difference, they both do a good job.

I have been wearing glasses for most of my life and have wore many different makes.  My next to last pair was Costas and they are nice glasses but expensive, especially with prescription.  My currant and best I have ever used are the Wiley X glass.  The Wiley X are safety glasses rated and you can buy for $90 to $100.  They offer good protection from a lure or weight that might hit you in the eye. 

 

The important feature is their patented removable seal that blocks all light that enters behind the lens.  The seal is a ventilated gasket and works great.  It is just the thing for anyone with a high speed boat.  They won't blow off and block all of the air that might blur your vision at high speed.  The glass won't fog with the seals in place unless you have an eye problem and your eye is watering. 

 

My last Costa's cost me $450 with prescription.  My Wiley X cost $100 and another $100 for the prescription lenses from my local optometrist.  Wiley offers a discount to militaries if you buy direct.
