i'm thinking these would look real good on a swim jig..

 

question.... rig it with the tail vertical??  or horizontal?

 

i think vertical.....  but then at slower speeds would it roll over...so rig it horizontal? 

 

or am i overthinking it??

I rig it just like a craw on a non swim jig.  I guess that would be horizontal. 

I've used it and been successful with it both ways -- it is one of my favorite swim jig trailers.  Visually, however, I like it vertically.  It just looks better to me. 

either way depending on what your looking for, and it is killer.

Someone here schooled me on a different method to use them, put them on a Jackall wacky jighead, with a touch of loctite to keep it in place.

Oh, heavens to Betsy, yes! I like it rigged both ways, but if you want a slower fall, rig it horizontal.

on another note...  i like the Menace on a scrounger...rigged vertical.  looks just like a swimming baitfish coming through the water..

Likewise, I've also been using a cut r worm that I twist about an inch off the head as a trailer. I have had great results with it thus far.

I use them vertical as well.
