Come On Spring!

Featured Replies

It's another day of falling snow here in central PA. I'm trying to make the best out of it and spent the day in the garage getting the boat and gear organized. Now that its all done I won't know what to do with myself on the next snowy day! Anyone else ready for spring to get here?

I went to a fishing expo this past weekend.  Nothing get's the blood pumping for fishing more than demo's in that portable tank at the show.  Of course it is what it is and winter was still there waiting for me when i walked outside.

So far I have kept busy with building jigs and reorganizing my tackle.  I am SLOWLY doing that stuff in hopes that by the time I am done spring will be here.

I see you are in my neighborhood, but you can use more than soft plastics fishing from the bank. I am assuming you are fishing Centennial Park? The most effective lure for me was square bill cranks, and finesse jigs. But most of the times I am fishing Rocky Gorge or Potomac, and able to pull some decent size bass there.

You are way ahead of me, I still have to clean and lube/oil my reels from last season! I have a feeling that we won't be iced out for another month.

Usually I have jigs and spinnerbaits built by now, tackle all organized. Haven't done a blessed thing yet...LOL

I'll lose my family if this keeps going.  I've already bought myself 2 new rods, and 2 new reels and my Son a new combo to surpress my fishing urge.  If this keeps up i'll be broke, I need the spring to hurry up!!

I bought myself those new cielos/speed spools for Christmas, along with a ton of other things! Unfortunately, my tax return went in the pocket of the wife to be!

The Bait Monkey posseses me.

During the hard water months.
