im looking for a fishing buddy in howard county. I love to bass fish, im more of a shore angler but if you have a boat that doesnt tip and is teady (i hate tipping) ill do that. Im 16, i joke around, i know LOTS about fishing when in comes to tackle but not as good for catching bass. im 5'11 and i love lipless crank fishing. im just looking for a bud to fish every weekend in a howard county lake. please lemme know

If any of you rod builders have cork rings, finish/epoxy material, micro guides, please let me know, i would love to buy/ trade them

I was at centennial yesterday and i see everyone catching fish but me. it makes me feel like im doing something wrong, what lures and colors should we be using in this lake? i will be fishing around the rocks. thanks for the help in advance

just gonna let you guys know for all the howard county guys, ive set up my topwater rod. 6'10" falcon bucoo micro with a righty diawa 7.3 tatula with 30lb power pro braid with a booyah pad crasher

and im not biased

I love the Duckett Micro Magics more. Tatulas have that weird ribbed texture on the blank which is an instant turn-off for me. Ducketts are not thicker, because Ducketts are white they appeal thicker but really black appeals thinner, but according to angling, they usually are thinner. I have the heavy guides on Tatulas, and I love the Micro Guides and the flex on the Duckett. The grip on the Tatula is thin which is great but I hate that reel seat, Its too wide and its no better than other reel seats out there.For some reason the Daiwa Products, for most of them, look weird to me. They do things differently, and not in a good way. But hey its my personal opinion

what is the advantage of mono backing ? is it okay to put on braid without backing?

Its all prefernce. I mostly fishing topwater. So i have a topwter rod and another rod for everything else

idk, but surely im going with a 6'10" medium heavy or heavy. i need a shorter rod for pitching and twitching without slapping the water.

Because spinning rods are more for finesse, id go even shorter. Ihave a crappie maxx thats 6' medium light if you want it for cheap

Then does the MH acually feel like a MH or a M

But i heard that the medium heavy feels like medium, so i might just end up getting a heavy cuz i need a medium heavy

oh yea i forgot to mention that its mostly for topwater but i will occasionally use it for jigs

the problem is that i like both lengths. the rod im looking at is the falcon bucoo, so even if they have the same action and stuff, i just cant decide on what i want
