Hello, I have the old grey Lowrance wires and pins on my unit that doesn't work anymore. How am I going to get the new "blue" plugs to work when the wiring is under all of the decking boards and carpeting that the factory installed? Thank you for all for help!

If you are trying to run new wires, attach a long string or a piece of wire to the plug end of the old transducer wire. Pull the transducer wire from the transducer end. When you pull enough to get the string, attach the new plug to the string and pull the string from the other end where the unit mounts until the transducer plug appears. Do the same thing with the power wire. Just make sure you attach the string or wire securely so they do not come apart halfway through the pull.

I guess I'll need to run new wires because the new fish finders aren't compatible with the plugs that are already installed in my Gambler. I'll try your technique and see what happens. Thank you!

Duct tape the ends together it will come right through.

This is how we had to rewire mine.  Its really the only way.

If you've got an old rod that's shot, clip the guides off and tape the wires to the tip and use it to thread them through. Another option is to get yourself a bike safety flag with a fiberglass pole. You can do the same thing with the tape and run it up wherever you need the wire to go. In a real pinch a long wispy tree branch can work. (don't ask me how or why I know this lol)

I wouldn't do it without first buying a fish tape and using it.  They only cost a few bucks and are well worth the money.

+1 fish tape works the best.

I use a 102" steel whip CB antenna for running wires inside my boat. It works great. Has enough give to bend around everything but strong enough to be able to push it through.
