What is your absolute favorite way to fish? Weather conditions, depth, lure, cover, rod/reel, casting technique, etc. Mods sorry if this is the wrong section, please move if it is.

My favorite is pitching Rage Hawgs, Craws, or Space Monkeys to standing timber on an overcast/rainy day. I absolutely love fishing this way, and it's usually when I get a good'un.

Edit- Forgot to mention this earlier, pitchin' around cypress trees is another one, along with frogging in matted grass.

Pitching 1/4 oz jigs, lizards, space monkey/ rage craws, and worms on standing timber in about 6 ft of water

65 degrees, overcast, about 5' of water, 7' baitcasting rod, and throwing a buzzbait.

I love the strike on every topwater bait, but I like buzzbaits the most.

75-85 degrees and sunny, 16-18 ft of water, Norman DD22 over a weedline right of the first break...tick, tick, tick, caught up in weeds, rip, smacckk!!

Late spring, 70 - 75 degrees, slight overcast with a light breeze. Crankbait (lipless or medium diver) in 4-10 feet of water over submerged timber or rip-rap. Medium power/moderate action b/c, 12 lb. mono.

For SMB, drop shot, dead calm, 20+ fow, drop to marks on the graph.

Overcast, in the 80's,  light wind, shallow water of 6' or less and throwing a Zoom Hoirny Toad frog bait or crankbait.

75 degree air temp, sunny day,  on a free flowing river in June with a superfluke watching giant smallies waking off the bank like submarines to engulf them. Ah...that hurts so bad!

I like these equally...

1. Morning. Gurgling a jitterbug or buzzbait along a weed line an hour before sunup dead calm & 80+ degrees.

2. Heat of the day. Dropshot or shakey head jig with a finesse worm in deep open water slowly.

3. Evening. Pitchin a jig&trailer or casting a T-rigged Culprit ribbon tail worm in the thickest blowdowns or lillypads I can find.

Toss up between these two:

Smallmouth-Middle of January, air temp about 30, water temp 43-45, with a slight south breeze of about 3-5mph with lots of clouds and a little snow,throwing a homemade fly on a bobber with a 10ft rod.

Largemouth/Spots-March-April water temp, anything above 55, in the middle of a front with lots of wind and clouds, throwing a 6" swimbait, preferably a high power herring or huddleston. Either throwing it on a 7'6" W&M SR swimbait rod or a 7'6" Duckett Extra Heavy(haven't tried this one yet).

Close 2nd-June, water temp 70's, from late evening to early morning, throwing a black Stan Sloan Buzzbait around rip-rap and docks. Throwing it on a 7'6" W&M SR Swimbait rod.

Senkos were killer for me two summers ago, ever since then I haven't really thrown them. They are definitley a great spring bait, however.
