Guntersville

Featured Replies

We're heading to Gunnersville next Thursday for 5 days. Sure would like to catch a bunch of bass or maybe a double digit fish. I can hardly wait.

Good to see another BR member hitting up my local water. Have fun and enjoy it!

Good luck to ya sir. Catch one for each of us members.

I'm heading down as well. I going the 1st week of April, fishing a tourney the 3rd & 4th. What's new on the Lake since the Bassmasters? They still prespawn? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

We are so excited we're leaving tomorrow instead of Thursday. WOO HOO!!!!!

Just  think, this time tomorrow I'll be fishing Guntersville Lake. I have never been so excited about a fishing trip in my whole life. Thanks for all the incouragement.

Good luck!  I went for the fist time back this past Nov and fell in love with that lake.  Caught a ton of great quality fish.  Had so much fun I went back the very next weekend!  Caught my PB 7.5lber on the second cast!  That lake is crazy when you find the fish!  I've been a total of 5 times since Nov.  Enjoy!

Let's hear some stories lucky dog when ya can..

Well we made it back from Guntersville. Sorry to say we didn;t catch a single fish. I got a total of 3 strikes in 2 fishing trips. We couldn't get to the lake until mid afternoon and only got to go twice.. Although no fish we had a wonderful time. Got to fish and visit with my relatives from Huntsville, get a beautiful view of the water, and met some very nice folks. Just getting out on the lake was a treat for us. Especially me. If I catch fish, fine, if not that's all right as well. Can't wait to go back again. Thanks Coots for all you help bud.

PS: I have to tell you this story.

As usual I got hung up in a small brach of a semi submerged tree in about 4 feet of water. I trolled over there and got as close as possible. I had to reach down about a a foot of water to get my lure. Yepper. I fell in. LOL. Man that water was cold at first but after a few seconds it felt pretty good at 57 degrees. After everyone realized I was ok we laughed till we cried. Oh by the way, this wasn't the first time I took a dip unexpectedly and I guarantee it won't be the last. :) :) :)
