Looks like a tons of fun. I'm going to make it to one when my son gets old enough to go with me :)

Can we please have one thats not a 12-15 hour drive for us guys in the north east? Or maybe break it into three to four zones and get a better turn out. Same weekend, 4 lakes. One north east, one south, one mid west and one west. I almost feel like you guys think theres not any good water up here worth fishing. I can think of a dozen massive bodies of water to fish.

I agree with jhoffman. We've been known for a "few" better than average lakes out here also. Just can't afford the travel $$$. Towing a 20' Skeeter with a 14 yr. old 1/2 ton chevy doesn't make much sense to me to go that far. If we had one on Clear lake or some other lake in N. Cal. or S. Oregon I'd make it. It would also bring in most of us from the 6 western states (Cal., Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, & Ariz.).

Just my 2 cents.

We do a small regional one for central guys here a couple times a year. The hardest part is finding a person or people willing to step up and take control of organizing it. This is the third year we've been doing it in the KC area thread and it's always a good time but it would be fun to meet some of the other guys from other areas.

The problem is, no matter where you hold the main event, it's always a long drive/flight for a bunch of people. There is no way around that.

Thats why you make sub groups. Id love to fish the cali lakes but reality is, its not in the cards anytime soon.
