I got a 7'9 swimbait rod, its my first dedicated rod for swimbait. Its a heavy fast tip . Is it too stiff or you think ill be fine?

My cousin uses one for A-Rigs, he fishes loomis rods and still uses that rod instead, i guess he likes it.

For what?

It will cast a swimbait, and if you're ever attacked by a rabid Bigfoot you could probably successfully defend yourself with it too!  :eyebrows:

I use it and it will throw 1-6oz baits. Its rated up to 4 but you can go heavier. It gets the job done and doesn't break the bank. I wouldn't use it for anything other than swimbaits.

I use the SCIV version if that rod, and it's perfect for those baits.

I love that stick lol punch with it in a pinch too makes a good carolina rig rod and whatever else you might want lol like it with the A-rig too

Tight lines

i was just worried about the fast tip action but with those heavy baits seems like you guys do fine with it.
