Ok folks!  Hands down, the Abrazx is the best flouro I've ever used!  I tested it to the max today!  The Hybrids here are spawning and I found a hot spot for them.  I was throwing a Smithwick rattlin rogue on 12# test and I hung into a 10# hybrid, then into another 10#er, usually I retie after a big fish, but today I wanted to see how far I could take it.  I brought 7 in the boat ( and all of them were over 9lbs) and about a dozen more that never made it in the boat.  I never retied...  I don't know what they make their line out of, but they have definitely earned all my business from this point on ( or until something changes )

Try KVD line & Lure Cond.! It should help alot!

You, my friend, are absolutely correct! I usually  do retie after a big fish and a few little fish...  I was just doing my own little experiment on this line.  It was a great day for fishing and the lure I was using was beat to heck so if lost it wasn't that big of a deal.

I agree that losing a beat up lure is no big deal, but I would be more concerned about a nice bass swimming around out there with a piece of unnecessary hardware hanging out of its face.

I use a Palomar Knot on this bait as long as the split ring is good.  If the split ring is gone or damaged and I dont have another to replace it I'll go with a non slip loop knot.

Your right Hootie, but my thinking was based on finding a line that DOESNT lose lures and fish unnecessarily.  My buddy was giving the fish face jewlery yesterday, he lost 3 rapalas due to break offs.  I gave him one of my shakey head rods that had 30# braid and he didnt lose another fish or lure.

Sounds like a fun time. People really retie that often? I've gone weeks without and can't remember the last time I snapped a line. Guess I'm doing it wrong.

Abrazx is more abrasion resistant and has much less stretch than Invisx. What you gain with those attributes, you give up handling, memory, limpness, etc. Invisx handles very similarly to mono, Abrazx is a much stiffer line. I definitely wouldn't recommend Abrazx for spinning reels, because it doesn't handle well enough, but for baitcasters it's a good line if you need abrasion resistance (around rocks, timber, docks, etc.).

I love this line and bought it completely by accident.  I went to a local shop here to pick up a chronarch and a rod, while I was looking around for a rod the guy asked me if I wanted it spooled,  I said sure asked for 12lb fluro and didnt give it a second thought,  he gave me two choices I picked that.  When I checked out I was like holy crap I just spent 22.00 on line.  After using it, I would spend 22 again, again and again.  Great line.

I've been using 8# Abrazx as leader material tied to 10# braid on my spinning rod for the last couple months fishing jigs in a river with a really snaggy rock bottom.  I've been impressed with the abrasion resistance compared to the Invisx I was using before.  Great line choice and a 200 yard spool will last me all year long.

2 10 lbs!! 7 over 9 lbs!! and a dozen more on top of that!!!
