Wow Was This Crazy!

I was fishing from the bank in Weston, Fl..  I caught a one pound fish, unhooked it and dropped it next to the bank into the water.  This is when the problems started!  The fish took a quick right turn and swam directly into an old Lays Potato Chip bag that was in the water.  The only thing sticking out of the bag was the fishes tail.  He couldn't see anything,  could not dive with the bag, and could only go forward.  This is when he headed to deep water.  The chip bag was all over the lake, tail was going a mile a minute and the fish had no idea where he was headed.  Luckily it made its way back to my bank.  For ten minutes I tried to remove the bag with my rod tip.  I would try to move it off, and he would swim forward and back into the bag.  Finally it got close enough for me to grab and he was finally free.  It was one lucky fish.  If he went the other way he would still be wearing a chip bag, and he could be the first fish with a product endorsement deal!  :Idontknow:  :Idontknow:  :Idontknow:

Funny story...sad reality of how much trash gets dumped in our lakes and ponds.

My son once caught a bass that took cover underneath a Jagermiester bottle.

That's funny... !! What flavor ? Plain or BBQ?

Great story! Things like that make you just stand there and say "NEXT? WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN - NEXT?

Funny story and funny posts. It just amazes me what can go on in the out doors.

Maybe the salt actually DOES attract fish
