I am currently in the market for a rod to handle my crankbaits. Never really done any crankbait fishing, but I plan on doing some lipless along with squarebill and a little deeper diving stuff. I already have a baitcaster to go on it.

 

What length, action and stiffness should I look into? I am looking at the BPS Bionic Blades right now.

I might suggest the Denali Kovert 7'6" Crankbait Rod.

If going bps brand check out the crankin stick. Great price and good rod. I also like the veritas winch line of rods. 7'6 mh would cover what your looking for.

I might suggest the Denali Kovert 7'6" Crankbait Rod.

I just received my Veritas Winch med-mod crankbait rod. I havent used it yet but it feels nice. and its on the cheaper side and im ok with that since I dont need it to be really sensitive for crankbaits.

When using crankbaits I generally go with my 7'  ML Berkley Lightning Rod.  It's a cheap rod, but I think it's a darn good rod for the money.

As a crankbait beginner the BPS Cranking Stick would be perfect for you. Medium 6'6" for squarebills and medium depth divers. MH 7' for the deeper cranks.

I would also say to check out the Crankin Stick. Its a nice Stick for the money

I like the BPS crankin sticks they are great for the price. Good sensitivity too.

You want a Moderate action. Power is up to you and it depends on manufacturer. Look at the specs on the rod and find one that fits the size lures that you want to throw. a good place to start would be 1/4 - 3/4oz.

Moderate action for sure. Medium or medium heavy power, it's up to you.

Lower end rods sometimes just call their rods "Medium Action" when they mean medium power and dont list the action. and some other lower end rods just dont make moderate actions.  I would look at a rod that specifically says moderate action. It doesnt need to be 300$ but even the veritas is 80$ and worth it.
