Jig Rod That Doubles As A Frog Rod?

Featured Replies

Powell Max 734c. For around $150.00 can't beat them.

This rod would more than likely be slightly better for an all around jig rod that could also handle frogs if you will mostly be fishing jigs. My suggestion was going to be a Powell Max 735. I've fished jigs on this rod many times and it works great, I just wouldn't try and fish any jig below a 3/8 oz with it though.

I use a 7ft mh veritas spooled with braid for both and it works nicely.

Same here. I find some rods labeled as "frog" rods to be quite terrible for frogging. "cough...St.Croix...cough"

I have a 7' MH Rapsody Rod which I use for both a Jig and Frog rod.  Paired with 20lb Fluoro it works just fine for me.

DX 746 baby!!!!! Can't wait to try this rod out this year!

Just got one a few weeks ago and it is such an awesome rod. I put a new *** *** on it and I could not be happier.
