I fished the annual opening day 3 fish limit tournament on Silver today. I did OK....or should I say my partner did OK. You fish as individuals, but since we used his boat, he has terminal cancer, and

Tale of two days....sunday, fantastic weather, poor fishing. I caught one 4lber, one 3lber, and one 12"er....Today...well...I had the best day, maybe ever on silver. Wind, sleet, hail, rain, and 50+ largemouth. Best five were a 5-6, 4-14,4-11,4-9,and a 4-6. Countless other 3.5+ to low 4lb range fish. This one will be hard to top. Might as well sell the boat now lol.

I've been playing for 35 years. Anyone at any level can benefit from a lesson. Music, like fishing, is a path, not a destination.

My motto==nice for people=not nice for catching.

Fantastic day. It heals  the winter hurt.

That is an awesome looking rod, and great fish! Can't wait to get the boat out on the river and start hammering smallies.

Finally got out on the boat on Conesus and on the board.  In about an hour and a half, picked up three bass and a pike.  All fish were shallow, in about 5 feet of water.  Good to get things started...

I got out for a few hours yesterday afternoon, during the "warmest" part of the day. It wasn't on fire, but it didn't suck, despite my thinking it would with this nice winter weather we have returned to this week. In about 3 hours worth of fishing, a dozen or so largemouth and I visited each other, no hogs today...they ranged from 12" - 3.5lbs. I'll take it for a nice 45 degree day with a chilly north wind.

I got it in my head i wanna hit lamoka/ waneta or keuka next week when im off

Pretty good day could do almost nothing wrong they hit everything

Very nice!

Just wanted to jump on this thread.  I haven't been able to get out yet but I am hoping to be getting out to lamoka, keuka and the chemung and susq rivers very soon.  If any body hits any of those let me know how it goes!

I think Coldsvt and I will be hitting lamoka/waneta sometime next week. Might even get to keuka another day too. I'm hoping to head up to the north branch of the susquehanna near Wyalusing soon. Great stretch of river there.

Off the coast island? Yes, there's a ton of water just north and west of the city.

I'd be looking to get hooked up with one of the Watershed ressies. You'll need a permit. I think the DEP issues them.
