Maiden Voyage On My New Ride 115X

Featured Replies

Just for information I have a 115X and I weigh in at 232# and stand 6'1" and it's very stable with me in it.

If you don't mind me asking how big of a guy are you? I'm a pretty big guy and have been looking at kayaks.

When I started fishing this Kayak I was just over 300 pounds.  I am currently 225.  Have been comfortable on this Yak at all sizes.   :)

Thanks and congrats on the weight loss!

And you got that yak in Dusk color too! I love that color. But, I noticed you car topped that thing. Anybody that can get a Ride on top their car must have the strength of the Incrdible Hulk. lol.

I agree, but I am getting older and have a bad back already.

I put mine on a low trailer and it worked out quite well for me.

My 115x is over 100# with the battery, depth finder and the stuff I have added to it.

Lol. I invested in a Thule setup including the outrigger arm. It makes it 10 times easier.

OK, here are my 'yaks...

Is that ascend in your pic the 128t and if so how do you like it? Easy to stand in?

I like the 128T because it's big & stable. The deck will sag in hot weather, but the seat, stability, and anchor trolley outweigh the floor. The hatches leak and the two round ones are difficult to open at times, but for 2/3 of what I paid for my Lure 11.5 - I'll live with it & modify it to suit my taste.

So to answer your question: yes, it's easy to stand on. Additionally, my daughter and I, together, couldn't flip it over.
