Holiday Park Boat Rental

Featured Replies

Has anyone had experience renting a Jon boat in holiday park? Trying to go out there next weekend to fish the everglades. Is a Jon boat good enough for a solid days fishing?

I don't know how much theyre getting for the rentals these days but depending on your budget it might better to get a guide.

During week its 75 for 5 hours and weekends is 45 for 3 hours last I checked I also wanted to do same thing but never did I don't know any spots that way but would imagine the canals around there have plenty of fish

if you rent a boat, bring a trolling motor and battery if you have one. if you do end up renting one, pm me and i'll put you on some fish.

Just go down the south canal past the bend and start fishing a black n blue 1/2 or 3/4 jig and a 1/2 green pumpkin chatterbait. You can thank me later lol

I've gotten them quite a few times. Usually from the groupon they have. I don't own a boat and getting a guide is a little out of my price range. They do the trick just fine. If you have a trolling motor & battery...it would definitely be beneficial.

No trolling motor. Will that kill me out there?

It will make your fishing a bit more challenging. The only other thing I can think of is a light anchor. Fish an area and move on, and anchor again. Without the tm you cannot maneuver the way you would like and you are at the mercy of the wind with no steering. If you just have a big motor you have to be doing to many things at once which can make for a frustrating day, especially if its windy.

It's been really windy during the mid mornings / early afternoons lately.  Try going later in the afternoon, the bite may be a bit better then as well.
