Ande Fishing Line

Featured Replies

Does anyone use Ande fishing line and if you do what line of theirs do you prefer and why?

No, but if you are fishing for a "line record" Ande is certified.

Used to use Ande in Saltwater applications. It was a bit softer then Big Game and had more stretch to it so it was a good option when I was fishing with live bait off of charter boats.  Fishing plastics and jigs though, I wouldn't use it due to the stretch and softness, it also would have memory issues if it sat too long.  Liked the tournament though for real light fishing....trout, light surf fishing outfit(S. Cal use 4-6lb surf fishing and small grubs).  Liked the limpness and small dia that it had. But never used Ande for bass fishing.

Good line, similar to Big Game. We use it in salt water a bunch, both as line and leader. Premium is their basic line, comes in clear, pink, and green. Tournament is their IGFA certified line, a little softer, and its green. Works great on baitcasters, and larger spinning. I've used it on BCs and like it. Some of the "German" lines are the same thing.

I use Ande leaders offshore and for inshore I cut my leaders from Ande mono premium.

Ive never bought it because Big Game and Maxima was so much cheaper for the same size 1/4lb spools.  I have picked up Ande leader wheels and have not been satisfied with it as much as I was with triplefish.  You have to be very careful pulling it off the wheel or it would chafe badly.
