St Croix Jekrbait Spinning Rod.

Featured Replies

I am in need of another jerkbait spinning rod. I already have a casting rod, but I am waiting a spinning for jerkbaits also. What are you guys using in st. Croix lineup? I am thinking something in the 6'6" range. I don't want to break the back either. Thanks.

I tried to use a spinning rod for fishing jerkbaits just could not find the rhythm if that makes sense.   I kept ending up with slack line loops on my spool and eventually went back to a baitcaster.  Good Luck.

I prefer baitcasting gear for jerkbaits. My dedicated rig is an Avid AVC66MF with a soft tip.

The rod is matched up with a Scorpion (supertuned) and #12 Sunline Super Natural.

Any of their 6'8" M/XF spinning rods will work will work. I've got 3 rods that I use for jerkbaits early and late in the year.

6'6" M/F Legend Xtreme (casting)

6'8" M/XF Legend Tournament Bass (spinning)

7'2" M/M Legend Tournament Bass (casting)
