Walmart Clearance Question

Featured Replies

I didn't want to revive older thread so thought I'd create a new one. I know back in April and as recent as 10 days ago there were some folks that were picking up some Heddon, Rebel and Cotton Cordell lures for $1.50. They were in a "Bait Bonanza" box.

My question is specifically about the Zara Puppy's. Did anyone find any Bone colored ones? All I have come across are some clear and two others that looks like a brown coachdog and froggy pattern, neither of which are on any website I have seen.

Just wanted to ask if anyone has seen any of the Bone color for a $1.50 or if I am chasing a pipe dream.

I believe that certain Walmart's are better than others, especially pertaining to their fishing departments.  I know that the Walmart I checked had Bull Frog, Baby Bass, and Clear.  I don't recall them having Bone. Try a few different Walmart's for a differnt selection.  I like the Heddon Super Spook Jr. better than the puppies.  Give one a try...

I picked up a few of the bone colored ones last year. Haven't even looked at the bait bonanza box this year as I found out that the lures in that box are essentially how the MFG gets rid of lures that didn't originally pass quality control. I had to put more $ into upgrading the horrible components than the actual lure itself cost me.

I'd rather not deal with that.

My Walmart had a few, but they went very quickly

I bought a couple of the bone colored zara puppys. IM if you want to buy it from me.

Yep seen hoards of em....

They had them when I got some stuff out of that box. I think they only had bone and clear. I picked up 1 of each that maybe one day I will use on a light spinning rod or something.

A bunch of those at Wally World here too. Tons of good YUM baits cheap. Picked up 4 packs of Dingers last night and some nice brush hogs for $2 a pack. Nothing like digging through greasy plastic bags to find the good ones.

Thanks guys. I will keep trying then. I have some friends in the US checking their Walmarts out but haven't seen a bone one yet. I ordered a few Super Spook jr's but have yet to try them out.

ghost: I would take you up on your offer but I am in Canada and wouldn't want to put you through the mess of shipping to here.

Our Wal Marts still have a bunch of the bone colored ones for $1.50. I have enough to last a lifetime and it's still hard not to pick a couple up every time I go.
