3/8 oz jigs and t rigs what rod would be the best in champion series. 703 or 733 or what?

734c.  I have one and I used it last year for a swim jig rod.  After thinking it was a just a tad overkill for 1/4 oz "Wisconsin Style" swim jig, I started using it for 1/4 and 3/8 oz jigs around docks.

 

For the past month or so, it has had a 3/8 oz pegged flipping tungsten weight and a 5/0 Trokar flipping hook for pitching purposes.  

 

Needless to say, its the cat's meow.

You are wrong; 4 power = jig/worm rod. Keep in mind there isn't ANY standards with rod power ratings. If I say power ratings are 2 = medium light, 3= medium, 4 = medium heavy, 5 = heavy, does that make you feel better? No builder make their rods the same.

I use the Dx 744 for jigs 1/4 to 1/2oz, It is classified as a heavy power rod by Dobyns. You have to take into consideration the trailer weight when talking jigs. If you feel like you should get a 3 power, go for it. I'm sure it will be fine, but I, like the others on that have already commented on here that have experience with the rod, feel like the a 704/734 would be a better fit. The extra length is personal preference. I like the added length, but that's up to you.
