Word has it that the trebles on a hula popper are very cheap and junky. With which treble hook(s) would I replace it with?

If you're going to do it, do it right! Gamakatsu round bends or EWGs are very good hooks also.

i swapped them out to Gamakatsu..round bend.

but Owner and the KVD's are good too..

Fishing up north I had problems with pike hitting the back hook of my rat l trap after about ten pike the hook split I went to the walmart nearest the resort I was at and got a pack of the kvd mustard hooks I haven't had a problem since then
