Featured Replies

New state record brown trout, caught just down the road from me.  If only....

And no, Brown Troug is not a new species.....@#$%!

WOW! Gotta love the browns! They bite everything up here in the rivers, they're just not big. :trans7::cry3:

When i go after browns i take the same flies i use for smallies....once they get above about 15" or so they become serious meat eaters.

Never had the pleasure of catching a trout - but I bet that thing was an incredible battle. Pretty cool to see new records being set these days.

Yep. We don't have many browns in KS but the ones in the White River in Arkansas love a bass sized jerkbait, and I love feeding it to them :)

I was surprised it came from the chattahoochee river. I thought it would be somewhere in north Georgia. That river is nasty, it runs through atlanta. You can get sick just from being in the water let alone eating a fish from it.

This was north of Atlanta. That stretch of Chattahoochee from north of 75 to lanier is pretty prime water in my opinion. Maybe the Toccoa would be the more likely candidate in some minds, but I am not surprised it was from the Hooch.

when i first saw it i thought it must have come from the soque.  you've got some hand fed pigs in that river.  definitely need to get down to North GA to fly fish.
