When you flipping or pitching to you use straight braid or fluorocarbon. I've been using fluorocarbon but have lost lures because of damage to the line from rocks and other stuff. I retie alot but it seems like it wastes a lot of line. The reason I haven't used straight braid is I don't want the fish to see it but after hear people talk about it does seem like such a problem. The lake I fish is really green. So what do you guys think sould I go to straight braid or fluorocarbon with braid backing

If your getting broke off on rocks braid won't help...

If you have trouble with FC ripped to pieces by abrassive surfaces you´ll have MORE problem with braided line. Tie a heavier leader, if you are using 12 lb FC as main line tie a 20 lb leader.

I use straight Fluorocarbon and love it.  20lb AbrazX works well.  Might go down to 17 next season to try it out.

FC line stretches as much as nylon and as hybrid line. CXX is manufactured in clear.

I can't add anymore than what Raul has Stated, but... I will say, bump up to 20 Yozuri and a d**n strong rod and whip you're environment!....you can be successful with either Yo, or CXX... Both fine lines.... Braid in soft cover, but tough going in rocks...without a strong leader!!

You get what you pay for /w fluoro. If you have zebra muscles there isn't a line on earth that will be abrasion resistant enough. Best i've found as far as fluorocarbon is Tatsu and Shooter but you pay a premium for these. Copoly/Mono, CXX is tough as nails. I personally use 20# shooter for all my pitching/flipping duties unless it's in heavy slop. Then it's 65# braid. I don't use fluorocarbon for its "invisibility". I don't believe it makes that much of an inherent difference when target pitching/flipping or even dragging a jig. I use it for its slack line sensitivity. nothing compares in regards to feel on a slack line. As far as stretch goes, all line stretches. To say fluorocarbon stretches "the same" is senseless and isn't comparing apples to apples. Saying a line like Trilene XL has the same "stretch" as Sunline shooter is laughable.  

I use 30 or 50lb braid with fluorocarbon leaders. I fish zebra musscle infested water, and go with AT LEAST a 15lb leader, but most of the time it's 17 or 20. My brand of choice for leader material is Seaguar Red label. I have no problems with it.

If you want to stay /w fluorcarbon, yes. Get some good stuff though. The only cheap fluoro i'd recommend is red label but in my experiences red label has terrible abrasion resistance on rocks

Yea, iabass8 is really correct on Red Label, it's not the deal for using in rocks.

If you think you can handle it why not ? 20 lb FC is like trying to fish with wire.
