Rage Tail

Featured Replies

These bait's are the best soft plastics I've ever used. I alway's have some form of a Rage Tail bait tied on no matter where I fish. Caught my PB on a Rage Craw and been hooked ever since. So many different way's to fish these baits and so many different style's of bait's for many different applications. I love em!

Yup! If you haven't already tried it, try fishing the rage craw as a buzzbait-like topwater.... Works great in those places you can't quite get a buzz bait through!

Yeah I seen you had posted that on another thread. I will try that for sure. I have some Rage Toads I was gonna use for topwater but haven't gotten around to it. Do you use any other Rage bait's besides the craw? I just got the Cut-r gonna try it out Texas rigged and rig it on a weighted swimbait hook.

Best worm I've got.  And, I've got a 12 pound worm binder of competitors. lol

Cut-R and Structure Bug have done better for me combined this year than all other plastics combined.

With those two and a few Menaces, the only other plastics I use lately are flukes and some finness-y stuff.

No    :eyebrows:

Yeah I've tried all of them I think.... The Elieminator is great on a Caroline rig and the space monkey is a great Texas rig/swimbait hook lure!

Yeah I got em all I'm gonna start experimenting more with different baits and ways to rig em. Also use the menace and craw as a jig trailer

Right now my two hottest are the Cut-R and The Bug.

I'm in love right now with the Rage Toad

They are definitely awesome baits.  I have a hard time picking a favorite between the Craw, Bug, and menace.

Fishing the Toad is a trip!  Throw it out there, get it on plane, and then imagine the contrails of a twin engine jet -- but on the water, if that makes any sense.

Oh snap, I completely forgot about the rage bug when I said I fished them all! Still need to get a few packs of those to try!

I smash them on the rage shad, along with the chunks on my jigs and the space monkeys.

Try the Rage Tail Eliminator on a Swim Jig. During the summer it is outstanding and very few guys even try this. The action is incredible and bites are usually from good fish. I prefer it on the California style jig head over the traditional bullet head style. Typically put one on the back of 3/8 oz jig but will occasionally use them on a 1/2 oz. Either Northstars Flip and Swims or Sieberts Elite "Non" bullet style swim jig.

Give it a shot if you want something completely different than typical trailer options.

Caught a MONSTER on the Rage Bug this morning. I'll get a picture up later.

Good idea RW - cause pic or it didn't happen! :) I caught one on a rage-rigged Bug yesterday ... but it was only a "monsterwannabe"!

I catch as many or more fishing it slow in-around lily pads.

Just throw it in a hole in the pads, let it sink a little then twitch and hang on.

Use a heavy (20#)mono leader an 50# braid and drag em out pads and all.

Wow, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Shellcracker! Punching it through grass and a slowish retrieve has been a fairly regular producer for me(farm ponds). Favorite Rage Tail for sure.

Big O you have something to be proud of with this line of bait's. I'm sure its responsible for a ton of BR members PB. I have all the bait's except the new Rage Bug. That will be on my next big order from TW. I have the shellcracker just haven't found what situation I'd be able to throw it in. Do you just throw it as you would a craw or around structure? Might rig one up and fish it this weekend and see what it's about.

You make the best stuff Steve! I always have a Ragetail Toad on one of my rods. Perhaps my favorite lure and definitely one of my top producers next to a Senko if not the top producing bait I've ever used. Keep up the good work. You've put a smile on many thousands of fisherman's faces.

If I'm flipping cover, then I'll just let it go to the bottom and then a slow retrieve through the weeds. Rigged sideways on a EWG to look like a dying sunfish. Haven't really found a specific situation so to speak. Otherwise you can swim it mid-depth or drag it on top of vegetation weightless. The only rigging limit is the imagination! RT baits can be rigged however you want and still produce!

I was just wondering do you have to leave the Rage baits in the plastic they come in or  can you put them in a  3500 storage box?God Bless and Thanks
