Son's Outing

Featured Replies

My son recently had rather extensive oral surgery to correct some issues he was having. Consequently been driving me crazy about when he can go fishing again. Tonight was his first night back at it in awhile and he picked up right where he left off with a great evening. Caught two great channel catfish and around 25 bass out of a local pond.

Good to see some of today's youth wanting to be outside instead of video games.  Last year mine begged to go fishing, now I have to drag him away from the electronics to go.  Sounds like you two had a great day.

I am lucky he is still at the age where fishing is thrilling to him. Fortunately he has been successful so hopefully he will stick with it.

I took a quadruple take at the first picture before I noticed it was a catfish... I thought y'all had done caught a record bass!

Its helps to read a post before you look at the pictures, nice fish!

Looks like he had a great day. Careful lipping those channel cats though, they can put some serious clamps on you through gloves and all. I had one bite done on my thumb so hard once it split my thumbnail and made it start bleeding, through a leather glove.

The smile in the second picture indicates he will stick with it. Great outing for you both.

Congrats on a great day.

Awesome! I hope he sticks with it and you 2 make a ton of memories!

Keep up the awesome work.
