Reccommend Me Weight Pegs/ Weight Stoppers

Featured Replies

Bought some generic weight pegs from the local tackle shop and after about 3 or 4 fish they are pretty much gone or shredded. I need someone to recommend a weight stopper/peg that can hold up better.

8"-10" of a single strand of a stranded electrical wire bent double and some rubber bands.

Push the wire through the slip sinker on the line and stick a rubber band in the wire bend and pull it inside the sinker. Cut off the excess.

I like the Eagle Claw bobber stops, or you can just use an old jig skirt

Nice ideal, kinda reminds me of Gamblers brass/ rattle sinker ( bullet ) but with common materials.. Nice Tip!

Actually it is a cheap version of a Mojo weights kit.

I use 6th Sense or Eagle Claw.

I do the same thing, but I use #14 mono instead of wire. Keep several size rubber bands handy because sinkers vary. I use thin rubber bands or skirt material for tungsten sinkers.

I've been using those thread bobber stops and they seem to work pretty well.

cheap rubber bobber stops do it as good as anything I've ever tried.

6th sense period. Have tried other brands and they are nowhere remotely close.

To expand on my comment. ..I've tried most brands on TW (they just got new ones in I'll try) and they either did not stay in place or ripped when coming through cover. I actually threw vike punch stops away. Eagle claw is OK but you need to put 2 on.
