When Did You Get Pb?

Featured Replies

this has to do with what time of day you hooked your pb bass, and if you would of caught it any different time, do you think it might have have been bigger or not ? taking all the other factors in account with this topic, weather, barometric pressure ,moon phase ,etc...

when i caught mine it was partly cloudy / sunshine mix and about 5pm or so, give or take . but had i caught mine at like 10:30 p.m. would it have been bigger or not ? your opinion

you can catch bass during all 3 times of the day ,i know this but which time of day do you see producing more and bigger fish?

I have caught all my personal bests, except for catfish, between noon and 2:00PM. The only factor that would have made a difference in weight/size of those fish,IMO, would have been if they'd just finished feeding and had a fuller belly. That is exactly what happened with mt PB walleye. Although she was only 28"' she weighed more than the 31" my partner had caught an hour earlier.

Late June, 106 degrees, 2 p.m. Boy it was hot!

One day at "band camp"

Late July, 103 degrees out at around 4 o'clock. It was 10 lbs 11oz and would've pushed an easy 12-13lbs if it was spring.

February 17 2010 11:00am windy and cool caught a 10.6 and 20 minutes later caught a 9.13 one was 25" and one was 23" it was cloudy

Just after 5am last July. Fog was insanely thick.

1130 am in the morning mid November in Maine. 9 lbs 1 oz. 23 3/4 inches long, 19 1/2 inch girth. Probably would have weighed a bit more in the spring ?

July, 9:30am with clear skies and getting hotter.  Most of all the bigger fish (above 4lbs) have mainly come between the hours of 10am and 2pm. Think I have one at night that size and maybe a handful before 10am.

It was Veterans Day, November 11, 2013, right around sunset.

So it turned out to be an 11-11 caught on 11/11.

Saturday in August, 78 degrees at 6:05 AM in the morning. When the sun came up over the trees the bites turned off. If we would have gotten out to the lake later in the day I don't think we would have gotten a single bite.

About 20-30 minutes ago. Was about 80 all day. It's now 70 with hardly any breeze.
