I'm going to start using these b/c i see a lot of people talking about them. I'm gonna' go pick 'em up at BPS today but as far as size and color, what should I be looking for? I'm trying to get a pack for stained and clear water. 

 

Any help would be great! 

MMII and Oxblood w/light red flake are 2 colors that work everywhere, 6" straight or curl tails.

Like a lot of people, when I talk about Roboworms, I'm generally talking about the 'Straight Tail Worms' that come in 4.5" and 6" sizes. They can be used for anything you might use a finesse worm for, but they are pretty much my go-to drop-shot bait, and I will occasionally wacky rig one. I use both sizes. The water around here tends to be clear. 'Aaron's Magic' has been a good color for me, but I use others that have purple in them that I don't know the name of. I like 'Witches T' when I'm fishing in an area with a lot of sunfish/bluegill. There are some that I don't know the name of off hand that are more of a baitfish color that I use.

Clear I like morning dawn or Margarita muilator. Stained Aarons magic, baby bass and oxblood. Oxblood should work well in clear also.

I would get both sizes. Either way they are deadly when dropshotting.

I have margarita mutilator, green pumpkin&purple. They get a lot of bites thats for sure. You can dropshot all of them but the smaller ones might be better. Only problem I have is that the bluegills attack the hell out of them as well.

I've been using the 4.5" & 6" straight tails for a good long while, but recently have started using the 7" ones more and more.  I really like them and they seem to last a little longer.  

 

 

The only bad thing I can say about them is that they get annihilated so fast...  Don't even need a fish to swipe them most of the time, they just fall apart from being casted a few times.  Screw-style keeper hooks seem to help a bit, but they explode when hit still...  I'd stop using them if they weren't so darn effective!

 

 

So yeah.  The 7" peoples' worm is probably my favorite, followed closely by summer shad and the rest of the Robo FX worms- which provide higher contrast and seem to be slightly more effective than the regular ones.  If you can't find those, go with the "hot tips" that have a 2nd color tail.  Seems to work better anyways...  And FYI when they DO explode, I like to nip off the tails for use on jig trailers for finer/lighter jigs.  The 7" peoples' worm fatties work great as a PB&J trailer, etc. or can just be reused as a shorter worm in most cases so it's not a total loss.        

I started using roboworms this spring and have become a fan of them.

I use 4 1/2 inch and 6 inch. Morning dawn is my favorite color, followed by bold bluegill and oxblood red flake.

As good as the Roboworms are for dropshot I've done just as well using them t-rigged. Martins Magic is my choice of color.

I like Aaron's Pro Magic and Hologram Shad.

The hookup tackle site in AZ has a wide variety of hard to find Roboworms colors.

Baitball has been a good color where shad are the baitfish of choice.

6" martens madness is my go to bait
