Lipless Crankbaits

The Sebile Flatt shad is very underated in my opinion, one of the best out there .

Rat-L-Traps and Cordell Spots.  Usually if one doesn't work, the other one will.

Red eye shad seems to be the most effective out of the ones I've tried which are the cotton Cordell and Rat L Trap. However every couple of casts the back hook will usually get wrapped around the line which can be bothersome. I don't see this happening as much with the rat l trap and cotton. IMO the cotton doesn't swim nearly as well as the other two.

Do you guys find the rattles to be mostly detrimental? I know the redeye shad and now the bill lewis rattle trap, as well as the sebile flat shads all come in silent models.

I have a few silent trap type baits. One of them being the Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap. Never caught a fish on any of them.

I'm going to remove them from my tackle box by the end of the season. I'm sure they work somewhere, but not on my lakes.

How about the H20 models from Academy? They are nice and cheap. Anyone have any experience with them?

I have Rattle Traps, Cordell Spots, Bayou Boggies, Rippin Raps, Red Eye Shads, a Kinami Rattle Flash and Rattlin Rapala, all purchased through-out the years and they all have different qualities to them and have their time and place. This one by far has been my biggest producer for the last 2 years:

A Janns Netcraft Lipless Crankbait, add the hooks of your choice. I bought 5 different colored baits for under 3 bucks each. Couldn't be happier with the results.

Strike King Red Eye Shad are my go to lipless crank, but I also like XCalibur XRK50s/XR50s, and Academy's lipless cranks. They all have done very well for me, but If just one....gotta go with the Red Eye.
