What would u compare them too. Looking for some new rods, or what would u suggest for mid level spinning & casting rods.

Your best bet may be to take your question over to the tacklemaking forum and see what some of those guys have to say.  They may be able to provide you some better insight. 

DVT is our site sponsor for custom rods and I use ALX custom rods. Custom rods are made from a mfr that you choose or the rod builder chooses based on your input and preferences.

1/16 to 1/4 oz lure weight relates to 2 power or ML to M, not a heavier blank. Spinning rods are usually moderate action, casting rods for jigs/ worms are fast action, lure weights 1/4 to 3/4,being 3 to 4 power or MH.

Dobyn's, Loomis, Lamiglas use power ratings in numbers, most others in letters.

Can't help with the blanks, but think you should be looking at a custom spinning rod for that weight range.  Some people can do those weights with a casting rod, but IMHO you need a lot of skill to go along with the right combination of rod and reel.  Personally I can handle 3/16 oz. real well, but 1/8 oz. poorly even on a rod designated with a 1/16 oz. low end rating.  There are plenty of spinning rods that will handle jigs and worms.  I own 3 myself tho none are custom.

I'm sure he would be glad to share his thoughts on how they all compare.

The only true comparison would be side by side with the same components. Differences in composition, taper, and action (a MH/fast from one company often differs to that of another). This is a quality line of blanks of which I have built both a casting and spinning rod from, however I have no other, similar builds with witch to compare them to.

The rod hes building me, I briefly discussed with you on one of my threads, is similar to RW's but with a few differences. Dealing with DVT he can point you in the right direction not only for the blank, but reelseat and handle layout and components and guide choice.

The blank compares favorably with those used by G.Loomis in the GLX series in terms of sensitivity and recovery.  

However, the power rating is more in line with St. Croix Legend Elite series, somewhat firmer than a comparable

GLX. I rate all three a dead solid 10.
