Who's Done This?

Featured Replies

has it happened where anyone in fishing maybe you , for whatever species you were after and got their pb that day ,then caught one bigger than the one before right after or later that day? so 2 pb in one day. it's possible i think but haven't done it either.imo who's done it ?or hasn't happened yet?

It's more common than you think.

There are certain times and conditions that warrant bass to group up, and often those groups will consist of similar-sized bass. If you're lucky enough to trigger bites from bigger bass, it's very believable that your PB might be reset multiple times in an outing.

Anyone broken their PB twice with one cast of an Alabama Rig? I bet someone here has.

The law of averages would say that the bigger your PB, then the harder it will be to break.  Yes, if your PB is 4-5 pounds you may have a day when you break that barrier twice.  Teen fish, not so likely!

I broke my 9-2 record down at Lake Baccarac the same day with a 9-4 & later that day a 9-8. It is doable.

I can't say that I have but Dwights PBs is simply amazing to me. I give you mad props for that kind of accomplishment.

My buddy Paul caught a 10-2 and then a 10-9 on the same day, same spot. We were anchored there for a couple hours.

I'd never caught a striper until last year. I caught a 7 pounder that was my biggest of the trip on the final day until I caught a 20 pounder in the last hour before we had to leave.

Probably pretty common. I live in PA and for us, largemouth over 5lb are considered lunkers. My personal best is just over 7lbs, but I've had days where I've caught multiple 4.5-6lb fish in a day. It's all about knowing where to look and finding the right conditions. My best day was a 5 fish limit (all released) on a farm pond ranging from 4.5lbs through 6.5lbs (and definitely missed one that would have been in the 8lb range) right before the most horrifying lightning storm I've ever experienced struck. On the way out of the pond (running like hell) down the shoreline i almost **** myself when lightning struck 20 feet away. Totally horrifying, but pretty awesome to put together a 24lb stringer here in PA.
