Jig Help

Featured Replies

I'm fairly new to fishing and have never used jugs before I was wondering if they work just as well without a soft plastic or they work better with a soft plastic. Thanks for any replies!

I always use a trailer. Better presentation and more realistic movements, fall rates etc.

You can catch fish without a trailer though too... Will always find fish that will eat whatever hits them on the nose.

Define jug?

From the title you mean jig, there dozens of jigs from plain lead head, bass and crappie jig with a skirt of some type of material, need a better discription.

Fairly new to fishing with a PB of 9-10 lbs??? Wow.

Always use a plastic trailer with bass jigs. You can still catch fish with out them though, but I have more confidence in the bait with one on.

I always fish them with a trailer. They'll work without one, but I have no confidence in a jig without a trailer.
