Most Durable Matte Finish Powder Coat Paint

Featured Replies

Who makes the most durable matte finish powder coat paint?  And where do I get it?

Pro-tech has all you'll need. To get a mat finish don't use as much heat and you'll have a power finish instead of the glass type finish. Then put in the oven at 200 degrees instead of 245.

Play around with it and you'll get it the way you want.

Harbor Freight sells a few different colors of powder paint way cheaper than Pro Tech. The black is a matte finish that I use on a lot of my baits and is very durable.

Thanks for the info on Harbor freight. I'll do some checking today. I'm heading down the hill for a new train calender and other odds & ends across the street from them.

Thanks again

I have pro-tec but have been getting away from it.  I've been using Columbia Coatings and Roseys powder also have some Orbit.  I've mixed the different brands together with no problems.

Rosys is have a 50%, 25% and $3.25 specials - http://www.roseyspowdercoating.com/

Columbia coatings is where I bought mine. They run sales and I bought a pound of matte black for like $15 shipped.

Just loaded up on some of Harbor Freights powder paint.  Reviews have also said it's some really tough stuff.
